VICE Canada come down to play with me in Washington State, and Oregon. Host Rick McCrank was a nice guy, and the crew was professional. They made me look good, and I sure was famous for awhile when the show, called “Abandoned” Episode 5 was released on the new TV network. I was on endless reruns, and now I’m on their YouTube! I became a Pro Eater in 2007 with Major League Eating. I’ve been in and out of the stomach-centric sport, but a return to the table was immanent. Then, YouTube Legend Eric Badlands Booker went LIVE and selected me, Cameron “CONSUMPTION” McKirdy to be in the Chugging Contest against him…
I had three weeks to prepare for New York City, and a grudge match VS @BadlandsChugs! We’ve battled before on the West Coast Asparagus Circuit. Plus, I was on his rap CD heard here. Our song together is called County Fair.

Cameron McKirdy with Rick McCrank creating Abandoned Ep. 5 on VICELAND
Look out for Oregonian Cameron McKirdy on VICELAND’s “Abandoned” episode #5 called Nuclear Waste. It’s a new travel documentary type show featuring deserted places. I guided the VICE TV crew around our area, and shared my story. Producers from British Columbia, Canada filmed the host, Professional Skateboarder Rick McCrank and I discussing preparations for a nuclear disaster, and a tsunami. VICE and I took my Volkswagon van for a ride along the ocean in Long Beach, Washington looking for shelter, plus debris from the 2011 Japanese tsunami.
Over two days we built emergency preparedness kits with ammo boxes to bury in the ground along escape routes, like I have shown on my YouTube Channel called Survival Bros. We scavenged free health food samples from A Gypsy’s Whimsy, and purchased essential gear items to cache at more stores located in Astoria and Seaside, OR. The #survival kit I helped McCrank build should help him endure a disaster if he keeps it close by. I always have my emergency Go-Bag with me. As you can see in this HD video, nobody beats up gear like me. I took the new Kershaw Secret Agent knife to the beach, and put it through a rigorous torture test. I sliced, and stabbed ocean debris washed ashore in Long Beach, Washington.
Model Number 4007, the Secret Agent isn’t flashy. It’s functional. The spear point blade has a black-oxide coating for protection against corrosion. Additionally, the surface is non-reflective. So it won’t catch light, or be easy to see. Both sides come sharpened, making it easy to puncture nearly any material. The Secret Agent handled rope, plastic, aluminum, fiberglass, and even a dead jellyfish! After the beating, it was still sharp, and the tip showed little wear. Of course, knives don’t like sand, so I plan to sharpen it for the first time, or I can send it back to the KAI warehouse to get it cleaned up for free. I’ve stopped by Kershaw headquarters in Tualatin, Oregon (South of Portland) before for a hassle free repair, which took less than an hour.
This knife is a favorite in my collection because it’s lightweight at only 3 ounces. The ergonomic handle is glass-filled nylon. It’s well balanced. Fitting securely in my palm, without being too wide. Plus, with a rubberized, textured grip, it’s not going to slip out of my hand. You can wear it on a lanyard, or strapped to your leg. Blade length is perfect, and no joke at 4.4 inches long. The black sheath is quality, with a wide, tight clip. At under $40, the Kershaw Secret Agent knife may be the best value in the industry.
